Community

At Ashford Oaks the Pastoral Support Team  (PST) link with many charities and agencies to support the Ashford Oaks community as well as lead on some exciting projects.

 

Parent/Carer Voice

A termly catch with PST to explore with parents/carers, staff and our local PCSO how we can improve the experience for the children attending Ashford Oaks and the community they live in.

 

Project Purple

A Year 6 community project working in collaboration with Uprising and Ashford Borough Council. Since 2014 each year the Year 6 children develop and improve an un-used grass between Beaver Lane and Crownfield Road. Working in partnership the children have created a welcoming place where residents of the area go to socialise. During the wetter months the Year 6 will visit Berry Place Residential home and play chess and board games with some of the residents.

 

Housing Drop In

Ashford Borough Council Housing Team will be in school 3 times a year to meet with adults to offer support with any housing issues.

 

Premier Foods

Support foods for us regularly for us to distribute to families.

 

Gateway Church

Provide gifts for some of our children at Christmas time and for birthdays when the family find themselves in need.

 

Adult Education

Offer a varied range of courses for parent/carers to attend as well as family learning opportunities.

 

Emotional and Wellbeing Service (NELFT)

Come into school and deliver workshops for our children to help them with their emotions. In addition they offer online courses for/carers parents.

 

Matt Fiddes Martial Arts

 

We endeavour to remain update to date with the current needs of the community and change and adapt as required.
